Former David Bowie Guitarist Reunites With The Cure

Guitarist Reeves Gabrels, known mostly for his work with David Bowie and the band Tin Machine,  joined forces with The Cure this past weekend at the PinkPop 2012 festival in Holland. The two sides last hooked up back in 1998 when Gabrels and the Cure front-man Robert Smith wrote the song “A Sign From God” under the band name COGASM (along with drummer Jason Cooper) for the movie Orgazmo. The pair also worked together in 1997 when they collaborated on the Cure’s track “Wrong Number” and again in 2000 when Smith co-wrote and sang the song “Yesterday’s Gone” on Gabrel’s album Ulysses.
